As the Japanese nuclear crisis continues to unfold we’ll hear from an organization that is calling for a moratorium on all nuclear reactors in the permitting or planning stages. Dr. Alan Lockwood is a Board Member of Physicians For Social Responsibility who says there is no safe level of radiation contamination and the perfect storm of a disaster in Japan should be a wake up call to anyone believing nuclear power to be a safe and viable form of energy production.

While that may be needed, we'll hear from a former nuclear opponent turned advocate and hear why she is not overly concerned about the fallout from this catastrophe. Gwyneth Cravens is the author of Power To Save the World, The Truth About Nuclear Energy (2007). She explains why the events of the past week have not changed her view that nuclear power is needed to meet energy demands and avoid further climate change, despite mounting safety concerns.
